As
a policeman I'm sworn, with dignity and grace,
Uphold all the laws, no regard for your sex or race,
Both gentle and kind, as long as I can,
Merit respect from all others, strong character of a man,
The
numbers are high, of those who really care,
Along comes a bad cop, whose burden we bear,
Unknown to the public, bad cop catches hell,
They're chastised in ranks, but this we don't tell,
For
every one coward, who abuses our trust,
First chance that we get, his ass we will bust,
Our family and friends, so proudly they stand,
That courageous policeman, he's their kind of man,
A
thief is a thief, a crook is a crook,
Let us catch one of ours, at him throw the book,
No we're not all perfect, but proudly we serve,
But the Coward Behind the Badge, betray our trust, how dare they have the nerve!
