They were shot and killed March 3 while investigating a farm in Mayerthrope, a small hamlet in the western province of Alberta. It was the deadliest attack on Canadian police officers in 120 years.

Princess Diana & Prince Charles
Ottawa Police Ceremonial Opening
1983

In 1983 Princess Diana and Prince Charles came to Ottawa
for a visit. One of the stops on their agenda was
the newly built Ottawa Police Headquarters.
The Princess and Prince dedicated the building in June
of 1983 and I have posted 7 photos of the two of them out
of about 80 that were taken.

The Mer Bleue Bog

East of Ottawa lies almost 5,000 acres of peat bog
with the mysterious name of "Mer Bleue" which, in English, means "Blue Sea."

Click here for some beautiful shots of the bog.

Police Nostalgia

I have also included some Ottawa Police photos. The photos date from 1855 to 1990. The photographs have been taken from a book "The History of the Ottawa Police" written by A/Superintendent, Gilles Larochelle. The link to these photos is "Nostalgia".

The Rogues Gallery

The pet photos in The Rogues Gallery have been sent to me by caring & loving owners. I have met some of the owners on the Internet through police and private mailing lists. I believe you will find their stories and photos very interesting.
